An unusual combination of designer and racer, Franco Ringhini moved from Guazzoni to Morbidelli in the late '60s and was responsible for the first Morbidelli 50 & 125cc GP bikes and was team mate to Eugenio Lazzarini. After leaving Morbidelli in '73 he produced a very limited number of 50cc racers. This 1973 example used rotary disc valve induction & a 27mm Dell' Orto carburettor and produced 14hp at 14,500rpm. Weight 60kg. Photographed in Pesaro, Morbidelli Museum.
